  • Maersk Eastern Europe has signed an agreement with the government of Tatarstan on cooperation in developing international container transportation.

The document was signed by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Republic of Tatarstan, and Zsolt Katona, Managing Director, Eastern Europe, Maersk.

The agreement envisages investing into transport infrastructure in Tatarstan, developing regular container services between Tatarstan and major Russian ports, and providing access for Tatarstan’s companies to Maersk’s global digital platforms.

Maersk is expected to launch regular container routes serving Tatarstan, which can become an important international logistics hub for the Mid-Volga region due to its economic potential and geographic location.
