Rosterminalugol, the operator of the coal terminal in Ust-Luga, plans to invest some billion rubles ($13.2 mn) to implement its environmental protection programme in 2021.
This summer the company intends to start building a dust protection screen to be completed next year.
Rosterminalugol currently deploys 48 water sprinklers plus snowmaking machines at the terminal, and plans to acquire additional snowmaking machines this year.
