Russia – EU Trade in January-February 2021

  • During January-February 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 9.8% year-on-year down to 32.1 bn euro.

    According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was down 7.5% during the first 2 months 2021 making 12.3 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 11.2% down to 19.8 bn euro.

    Russia has regained fifth place in the ranking of the largest importers from the EU, which it lost in January this year. Our country is ahead of the US, the UK, China and Switzerland. 

    Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia retains the third place it has taken in January 2021 after China and the USA.
