During January 2021 Russia’s export of logs made 1.03 mn cbm, up 29.9% year-on-year but down 49.1% month-on-month. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, logs export was up 33.9% year-on-year and down 43.1% month-on-month making $75 mn.
Sawn goods decreased by 23.8% year-on-year and by 26.9% month-on-month down to 1 mn tons worth $264.3 mn, down 18.6% year-on-year and down 23.4% month-on-month.
Plywood export in January 2021, made 224.8 thousand cbm, up 1.3% year-on-year and down 19% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 21.3% year-on-year and declined by 13.7% month-on-month making to $99.5 mn.
Wood pulp export made 176.6 thousand tons, down 9.6% year-on-year and down 22% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export grew by 3.8% year-on-year and decreased by 22.5% month-on-month to make $82.5 mn.
Newsprint export declined by 21.5% year-on-year and increased by 6.3% month-on-month to make 73.8 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 21.7% year-on-year and down 0.8% month-to-month to $24.2 mn.
