Продуктовый импорт, 11 месяцев 2020: поставки молочной продукции выросли

Food Products Import in January-November 2020

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-November 2020 fresh and frozen meat import was down 29.6% to 244.7 thousand tons.

    Fresh and frozen poultry import increased by 3.1% up to 212 thousand tons. Fish import declined by 9% down to 346.1 thousand tons. Canned meat and meat specialties import increased by 10.4% making 18.1 thousand tons.

    Milk and condensed cream import was down 16.4% to 136.8 thousand tons. Butter import increased by 16% amounting to 121.1 thousand tons. Cheese import grew by 14.4% down to 285.3 thousand tons.

    Palm oil import was down 1.5% to 953.4 thousand tons.

    Citrus fruit import was down 4.2% to 1.3 mn tons. Banana import increased by 1.4% up to 1.4 mn tons, and apple import by 8.6% up to 931.7 thousand tons.

    Raw sugar import increased by 15.9% up to 7.3 thousand tons, white sugar import declined by 25.9% down to 161.6 thousand tons.

    Coffee import in January-November grew by 5.4% up to 210.7 thousand tons, and tea import by 2.8% up to 141 thousand tons.

    In November, the following categories demonstrated a year-on-year growth in import volumes: citrus fruit (up 17% to 233.7 thousand tons), apple (up 24.9% to 83.4 thousand tons), cheese (up 36.1% to 31.7 thousand tons), white sugar (up 3.2-fold to 23.8 thousand tons), butter (up 32.3% to 12.3 thousand tons), raw sugar (up 42.9% to 1 thousand tons). Other food products import was down.

    Compared to October 2020, the import of palm oil, fish, fresh and frozen poultry, milk and condensed cream, raw sugar and vegetable oil declined, the rest of the food product categories under report were up.

    In November, coffee import increased by 7.2% year-on-year and declined by 17.9% month-on-month to make 17.8 thousand tons. Tea import was down 10.3% year-on-year and down 1.5% month-on-month to 13.1 thousand tons.
