December 26, the first block train from Bely Rast Terminal near Moscow arrived to the Cternyakhovsk logistics center in Kaliningrad region.
The cargo in containers (42 TEU) is electric equipment and construction materials for Kaliningrad-based companies. The transit time made just one day.
The same day, the train set off on the return journey loaded with products made in the region including electronics, confectionary, and polymer materials.
The project is developed in cooperation between Russian Railways’ two logistics hubs in Moscow and Kaliningrad and Novik Group and Eurosib SPb Transport Systems.
In future, the service is to become regular with two train departures weekly.
