NCSP Group Throughput Down 23.5% in January-October

  • Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port has posted operational update for January-October 2020. The aggregate throughput of the group made 92.7 mn tons, 23.5% below the result for the same period of 2019.

    Liquid bulk, which accounts for some 80% of the total throughput, declined by 24.2% year-on-year to 73.8 mn tons. Crude oil traffic dropped by 32% to make 45.8 mn tons, much due to the pandemic and the decision to cut production by the OPEC+ members.

    Dry cargo throughput decreased by 11% down to 18.9 mn tons, including 5.8 mn tons of solid bulk, which grew by 8.7% partly compensating for a 16.3% decline in ferrous metals down to 8.1 mn tons.
