According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-August 2020 Russia’s export of vodka declined both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 1.3 mn decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, down 0.9% year-on-year, physically, and $87.6 mn, down 5.6%, in terms of value.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during January-February decreased by 9.1% year-on-year to exceed $1.6 bn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in January-August was down 4.3% to $39.8 mn.
In August, Russia exported 210.1 thousand decalitres of vodka, down 7% year-on-year and up 0.3% month-on-month, worth $12 mn, down 14.9% year-on-year and down 11.1% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import was down 5.5% year-on-year and up 7.5% month-on-month to $230.3 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in February was up 75.6% year-on-year and up 2.4-fold month-on-month to $7.9 mn.
