Arkas has launched a new Black Sea service branded Samsun Novo Shuttle (SNS) between Novorossiysk and Samsun. The m/v “Vassilis A” with 250 reefer plus took the first shipment in Samsun on October 9 and arrived at the NLE terminal in Novorossiysk on October 11.
For the time being, the service frequency is weekly. Should the demand grow, the service can be operated in a shuttle mode.
Arkas and Sealand Europe & Med-A Maersk Company have also resumed their joint Russian Express Service (REX) from Mersin to Novorossiysk. In Novorossiysk, the service calls at the NUTEP terminal.
This service is also weekly, with the transit time of four days between Mersin and Novorossiysk. REX will be operated with two vessels with 600 plugs each. The first voyage is scheduled to start on October 31 with the Arkas-operated “Bomar Resolve” sailing from Mersin.
