According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-June 2020 was down 34.5% year-on-year to 94.1 thousand units. Truck import during the first 6 months of the year declined by 39.1% year-on-year down to 8.4 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-June decreased by 43% year-on-year down to $2.18 bn. Truck import dropped by 54.5% down to $468.5 mn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in June 2020, car import was down 38.2% year-on-year and surged by 52.7% month-on-month to make 16.8 thousand units. Truck import made 1.6 thousand units, down 42.9% year-on-year, but up 60% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import decreased by 51.2% year-on-year and grew by 36.7% month-on-month to make $321.1 mn in June. Truck import was worth $75.7 mn, down 62.3% year-on-year and up 32.3% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-June 2020 was down 43.9% year-on-year to 30.6 thousand units. Truck export declined by 8.1% making 5.7 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 39.5% year-on-year amounting to more than $461 mn. Truck export decreased by 5% to make $147.8 mn.
In June, car export declined by 42.4% year-on-year, but surged by 90% month-on-month down to 5.7 thousand units. Truck export made 1.8 thousand units, up 80% year-on-year and up 2.6-fold month-on-month.
In terms of value, car export in June decreased by 28.8% year-on-year, but surged 2.1-fold month-on-month to make $105.5 mn. Truck export was worth $29.8 mn, up 9.2% year-on-year and up 22.1% month-on-month.
