There is a lull in the Baltic fertilizers market, even for such popular destinations as Brazil and the USA. However, the coal market in the region has started growing with Handy and Supramax rates up.
On week 32, freight rates for 30,000-35,000 dwt bulkers from Ust-Luga in the Baltic went up, according to Sea Lines ship brokers.
Last week, rateson the Ust-Luga – Continent – Ust-Luga routes was $13.25 pmt, rates from Ust-Luga to ARAG made $14 pmt.
Rates from Ust-Luga were $18 pmt to West Med rates, and $18.5 pmt to East Med.
Rates for 30,000-35,000 dwt bulkers from Ust-Luga to the Black Sea amounted to $20 pmt, rates to the Persian Gulf were $30.25 pmt.
Intra-Baltic rates for 3,000-5,000 dwt bulkers from Ust-Luga did not change.
Thus, rates from Ust-Luga to Klaipeda were €7 pmt, and those to Riga and Stockholm €6.75 pmt.
Freight rates from Ust-Luga to Hamburg made €13.25 pmt, and to Bremerhaven €14.5 за pmt.
Rates from Ust-Luga to ARAG were €15.5 pmt, and those to Dublin €27 pmt.
