Продуктовый импорт, 4 месяца 2020: поставки мяса птицы увеличились

Food Products Import in January-April 2020: Poultry Import Up

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-April 2020 fresh and frozen meat import was down 29.2% to 94.5 thousand tons. Fresh and frozen poultry import increased by 4.4% up to 71.6 thousand tons. Fish import declined by 8.2% down to 130 thousand tons. Canned meat and meat specialties import grew by 33.3% making 6.4 thousand tons.

    Milk and condensed cream import was down 23.6% to 47.9 thousand tons. Butter import increased by 19.9% amounting to 47.6 thousand tons. Cheese import grew by 9.5% up to 92.5 thousand tons.

    Palm oil import was down 17.3% to 299.3 thousand tons.

    Fruit import declined. Citrus fruit import was down 10.1% to 675.1 thousand tons. Banana import increased by 0.3% up to 582.1 thousand tons, and apple import by 0.2% up to 433.4 thousand tons.

    Raw sugar import declined by 18.2% down to 1.8 thousand tons, white sugar import dropped by 79% down to 53.5 thousand tons.

    Coffee import in January-April grew by 3.3% up to 75.9 thousand tons, and tea import by 3.7% down to 49.9 thousand tons.

    In April, the following categories demonstrated a year-on-year growth in import volumes: apples (up 21.5% to 137.8 thousand tons), canned meat and meat specialties (up 41.7% to 1.7 thousand tons). The import of other food products was down.

    Compared to March 2020, the import of apples, white sugar and raw sugar increased, the rest of the food product categories under report were down. 

    In April, coffee import increased by 4.8% year-on-year and by 8.2% month-on-month to make 19.8 thousand tons. Tea import was down 23.5% year-on-year and down 12.7% month-on-month to 12.4 thousand tons.
