During January-April 2020, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 19% year-on-year down to 63.7 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was down 3.7% during the 4 months 2020 making 25.9 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 26.9% down to 37.8 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the fourth together with Switzerland after China, the USA, and the UK.
