During January-March 2020, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 10.1% year-on-year down to 52.3 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 4.6% in Q1 2020 making 20.6 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 17.7% down to 31.7 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia rates the fourth after China, the USA, and the UK.
