According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-October 2019 Russia’s export of vodka grew both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 1.8 mn decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, up 4.8% year-on-year, physically, and $124.6 mn, up 7.1%, in terms of value.
In October, Russia exported 265 thousand decalitres, up 4.8% year-on-year and up 25.5% month-on-month, worth $17.1 mn, up 2.4% year-on-year and up 17.1% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during January-October grew by 10.2% year-on-year to exceed $2.3 bn.
In October, it was up 15.8% year-on-year and up 16.9% month-on-month to $315.8 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in January-October dropped by 61.1% down to $49.6 mn.
In October, it was down 78% year-on-year and down 29.8% month-on-month to $3.3 mn.
