According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-September of 2019 Russia’s export of sawn goods made over 15 mn tons, up 4.3% year-on-year. In terms of value, sawn goods export grew by 1.2% making $3.4 bn.
In September, sawn goods export made over 1.7 mn thousand tons, up 7.9% year-on-year and down 0.4% month-on-month worth $372.5 mn, up 4.7% year-on-year and down 1.5% month-on-month.
Logs export declined during January-September by 14.9% year-on-year down to 11.4 mn cbm worth $815.5 mn, down 24.9% year-on-year.
In September, logs export made 1.3 mn cbm, up 8.2% year-on-year and up 17.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it decreased by 3.6% year-on-year and by 17.8% month-on-month to make $83.5 mn.
Plywood export in January-September increased by 2.6% year-on-year up to 2.1 bn cbm worth some $872.5 mn, down 14.9%.
In September, plywood export made some 221.3 thousand cbm, up 11.1% year-on-year and down 8.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 15.9% year-on-year and by 8.4% month-on-month amounting to $87 mn.
Wood pulp export in January-September declined by 2.7 year-on-year amounting to some 1.5 mn tons worth $809.7 mn, down 24.7%.
In September, it made 154.9 thousand tons, down 17.9% year-on-year and down 10.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export dropped by 49.2% year-on-year and by 16.6% month-on-month down to $66.2 mn.
Newsprint export in January-September grew by 6.9% year-on-year up to 930.9 thousand tons worth $434.1 mn, down 8.5%.
In September, newsprint export decreased by 14% year-on-year and by 16.9% month-on-month up to 95 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 42.6% year-on-year and down 18.7% month-on-month to $38.6 mn.
