Rail Cargo Logistics – RUS has launched a new transit container service from China to Hungary via the territory of Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine offering opportunities for shippers to reach markets in Austria, Germany, Poland, Romania, Italy, Turkey and other South European countries.
The train is routed via the border crossings of Alashankou-Dostyk on the China – Kazakhstan border, Suzemka-Batevo on the Russia – Ukraine border, and Batevo-Eperjeshke on the Ukraine – Hungary border.
The first trial was completed this month. The train carrying 41 40’ units laden with consumer goods started on March 27 from Xian in Shanxi Province and arrived in Budapest on April 7. The transit time was 10 days.
The next is scheduled on April 12. In May, the company intends to make the service weekly.
Rail Cargo Logistics – RUS operates the service in partnership with KTZ Express, which provides rolling stock and is responsible for transportation on the territory of Kazakhstan.
