According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January 2019 Russia exported some 2.4 mn tons of wheat and meslin, down 2.4% year-on-year. Month-on-month, wheat and meslin export dropped 35.9%.
In terms of value, wheat and meslin export in January grew by 19.1% up to $519.9 mn.
Wheat import into Russia during the first month of 2019 increased by 33% up to 16.2 thousand tons.
In terms of value, wheat import surged 2.3-fold up to $3.7 mn.
Corn import declined 30.8% year-on-year down to 7.2 thousand tons.
In terms of value, corn import was down 46.2% to $23.9 mn.
