In the port of Ust-Luga, additional restrictions that were to have come into force w.e.f. March 12, are put off until March 21, due to slower ice formation.
Since this date, provided the ice reached 10-15 cm thick, the following restrictions enter into force:
- Barges pulled by tugs are not allowed to sail in the ice conditions.
- Vessels with no ice class are allowed to navigate only escorted by icebreakers.
- Vessels with the Ice1 and higher ice class and above are allowed to navigate with or without icebreaking support.
