RZD Logistics has launched a block train from China to Belarus for a Geely car plant, BelGee, a joint venture between China and Belarus.
Four trains with containers laden with car parts have already departed from Chengdu. The first train carrying parts for Emgrand X7 left Chengdu on February 4 and arrived at the Zhodino station, its destination, on February 18.
All in all, 50 trains are to be dispatched by the end of the year with a weekly frequency. The transit time is about 14 days.
The train is routed via the territory of Mongolia (via the Zamyn-Uud border crossing), Russia (Naushki border crossing) and Belarus (Krasnoe border crossing).
