According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during the full year of 2018 Russia exported 46.4 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 9.4% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 25.4% up to $23.4 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 11.2% up to over 15.9 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 31.9% to some $8 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 3.3% down to 8.4 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 10.4% up to $5 bn.
Cast iron export grew 19.8% up to 5.8 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 32.4% up to some $2.2 bn.
Ferroalloys export was up 9.2% to 811.4 thousand tons worth $1.4 bn (+4.2%).
