According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during the full year of 2018 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 19.2 mn tons, up 6.8% year-on-year.
In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 12.9% up to $4.5 bn.
Logs export declined 2.1% down to slightly over 19 mn cbm. In terms of value, logs export was up 1.4% making $1.49 bn.
Plywood export increased 8.5% up to almost 2.7 mn cbm in terms of volume and grew 22.8% up to $1.4 bn in term of value.
Wood pulp export was up 0.5% to more than 2.12 mn tons in terms of tonnage and surged by 36.6% up to $1.5 bn in terms of value.
Newsprint export increased by 3.4% in terms of tonnage making some 1.16 mn tons. In terms of value, it was up 39.6% to $653.6 mn.
