DeloPorts, the operator of the stevedoring assets of Delo Group, which include NUTEP container terminal, KSK grain terminal, has posted operating results for 2018.
The terminals handled 8.7 mn tons, up 13% year-on-year. According to the company, the growth was due to container traffic and grain exports, which constitute major shares in the aggregate throughput.
Container traffic via NUTEP increased 10% to 333,000 TEU. Tonnage-wise, containerized cargo handling was up 14% up to 3.8 mn tons.
KSK handled 4.8 mn tons of grain, up 14% compared to 2017.
General cargo traffic decreased 36% down to 84 thousand tons while ro-ro cargo declined 77% down to 9 thousand tons. In unit equivalent, ro-ro traffic dropped by 90% down to 1 thousand units.
Bunkering fuel sales declined 9% compared to 2017 down to 56 thousand tons.
