Russia’s import of cars during January-September 2018 amounted to 212.4 thousand units, increasing 15.8% year-on-year.
In terms of value, car import, according to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, grew 10.5% to exceed $5.2 bn.
Truck import declined 9.2% down to 18 thousand units.
However, in terms of value truck import increased 3.9% up to $1.5 bn.
Car export grew by 3.8% up to 66 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 10.5% to $910.1 mn.
Truck export was up 5.5% to 9.6 thousand units.
In terms of value, truck export increased 20.6% up to $226.7 mn.
