According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-September 2018 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 14.4 mn tons, up 5.4% year-on-year.
In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 15.8% up to $3.4 bn.
Logs export declined 6.4% down to 13.4 mn cbm. In terms of value, logs export was up 1.1% making $1.09 bn.
Plywood export increased 9% up to over 2 mn cbm in terms of volume and surged 45.6% up to $1.12 bn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 1.8% up to 1.6 mn tons in terms of tonnage and 25.9% up to more than $1 bn in terms of value.
Newsprint export increased by 2.7% to some 870.2 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was up 36.8% to $474.3 mn.
