In January-July 2018, trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased 8% year-on-year up to 144.9 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia increased just 1% up to 49.3 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union was up 11.9% to 95.6 bn euro.
Among the major importers from the EU, Russia was in the fifth position after the USA, China, Switzerland and Turkey.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia remains the third after China and the USA.
