Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 35, 2018

  • Turkey is going to continue to have holidays and thus chartering / trading activity is not back on track yet.

However, this week is full of numerous budgeting requests ex Azov and Black seas ports to various destinations including Turkey, according to Rufco ship brokers.

Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $23-24 per ton.

Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are $21-22 per ton.

No significant changes are to be seen in the Caspian segment. Provided there are no changes here until the end of the navigational period, the majority of Russian flagged owners would prefer to leave this region towards the Sea of Azov.

The current freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran remain at $26-29 per ton.

Please note that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings.
