Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 33, 2018

  • The Azov Sea market slightly decreased again. Political turbulence remains a major factor keeping the market from rising.

Owners presently prefer to avoid fixing Turkish destinations in order not to get stuck for prolonged holidays there, according to Rufco shipbrokers.

Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $23-24 per ton.

Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are $21-22 per ton.

There is nothing new for the Caspian Sea, the level of activity is still insufficient for this region.

The current freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran remain at $25-28 per ton.

Please note that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings.
