According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-June 2018 Russia’s export of sawn goods made almost 9.4 mn tons, up 3.7% year-on-year.
In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 16.4% up to $2.2 bn.
Logs export declined 6.1% down to 8.8 mn cbm. In terms of value, logs export was up 4.9% making $755 mn.
Plywood export increased 85.1% up to almost 1.4 mn cbm in terms of volume and 26.9% up to $685 mn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 3.3% up to 1.1 mn tons in terms of tonnage and surged 52.6% up to $752 mn in terms of value.
Newsprint export declined slightly by 0.6% to 541.5 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it increased 25.5% up to $278.1 mn.
