According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-April 2018 Russia imported 21.9 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 22.1% year-on-year.
In terms of value, leather footwear import increased 23.9% up to $571 mn.
In April, leather footwear import dropped 45.5% month-on-month making 3 mn pairs.
Clothes import during January-April 2018 grew 16% up to over $2.1 bn.
Cotton fabric import increased 9.4% up to 81.5 mn sqm. In terms of value, it grew 25.3% up to $53.9 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia was up 9.1% up to 27.7 mn sqm and up 5.9% to $16.1 mn in terms of value.
