United Grain Company and RIF Trade House intend to build a grain terminal in Novorossiysk.
An agreement envisaging a feasibility study on the project was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The terminal with a an annual capacity of 12.5 mn tons of grain will have a storage facility for 300 thousand tons of grain.
According to UGC, RIF can invest some 8 bn rubles into the project.
RIF is the leader among Russia’s major grain exporters, during the 2016-2017 grain season the company exported some 4.5 mn tons of grain.
RIF uses mainly two southern ports for its shipments, the deep sea Novorossiysk and Kavkaz.
