During January-March 2018 Russia exported 46.3 mn tons of coal, up 11.1% compared to the same period of 2017. It should be noted that in March 20 million tons of coal were exported, 34.3% up the February result.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service, in terms of value, coal export grew 18.7% making $3.7bn.
The volume of exports of coke and coal char in January-March 2018, on the contrary, decreased by 21.1% to 759.7 thousand tons. At the same time in terms of value, they increased by 30.6% to $217.5 mn.
