During January-February 2018, foreign trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased 1.3% year-on-year to 39.3 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia grew 4.9% to 12.9 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union made 26.4 bn euro, just 0.4% below the previous year’s result.
Among the major importers from the EU, Russia rated the fifth after the USA, China, Switzerland and Turkey.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia remains the third after China and the USA.
