The Harbour Master of Ust-Luga has announced the start of the icebreaking period in the port w.e.f. February 1, 2018.
W.e.f. February 10, 2018 the following restrictions will be applied in the port and in the approach channels provided solid ice in the port basin is 10-15 cm thick.
Barges pulled by tugs will not be allowed to sail in the port.
Vessels without an ice class will be allowed to sail only escorted by and icebreaker.
Vessels with the Ice1 ice class and above will be allowed to sail independently or escorted by an icebreaker.
