According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-November 2017 Russia exported 164.1 mn tons of coal, up 11.4% year-on-year.
In November, coal export from Russia made 18 mn tons, which exceeds the previous month’s result by 45.7%.
In terms of value, coal export in January-November 2017 grew 58.6% year-on-year to $12.2 bn.
Coal and coal char export in January-November 2017 made 2.7 mn tons, up 38.6% year-on-year.
In terms of value, the growth was even more significant, up 2.4-fold to $541.8 mn.
