During January-November 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased by 40.6% year-on-year up to 223.4 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 12.3% during the 11 months of 2021 making 81.5 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union grew by 64.4% up to 141.9 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the third after China and the USA.
