According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-April 2021 was up 66.6% year-on-year to 110.1 thousand units. Truck import during the first 4 months of the year grew by 77.6% year-on-year up to 10.3 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-April increased by 64.4% year-on-year to exceed $2.7 bn. Truck import doubled amounting to $680.7 mn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in April 2021, car import was up 2.4-fold year-on-year and declined by 5.4% month-on-month to make 33.2 thousand units. Truck import made 3.6 thousand units, up 4-fold year-on-year and up 20% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import surged 2.7-fold year-on-year and decreased by 14.7% month-on-month to make $737 mn in April. Truck import was worth $219.1 mn, up 3.9-fold year-on-year and up 7.8% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-April 2021 was up 30.4% year-on-year to 28.3 thousand units. Truck export grew by 16.1% making 3.6 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was up 52.4% year-on-year amounting to more than $452.7 mn. Truck export increased by 10.6% to make $102.4 mn.
In April, car export surged 2.1-fold year-on-year and grew by 31.5% month-on-month up to 9.6 thousand units. Truck export made 1.3 thousand units, up 44.4% year-on-year and up 30% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car export in April surged 2.9-fold year-on-year and increased by 28.8% month-on-month to make $152.2 mn. Truck export was worth $34.1 mn, up 49.6% year-on-year and up 39.2% month-on-month.
