Pilot Block Train from Korea to Poland

  • TransContainer has launched a pilot block train from South Korea to Poland. The first train departed from Global Ports’ Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company in the port of Vostochny and will run across the territory of Russia and Belorussia to Malaszewicze in Poland crossing the border via Brest. It carries containers laden with componentry for LG Chem electric equipment.

In future, TransContainer intends to operate the service regularly on a weekly basis and hopes to compete with deep sea services provided the transit time will be twice as short.

The project is a partnership between TransContainer and Korea’s Pantos Logistics in the framework of the memorandum of intent the parties signed at the Eastern Economic Forum in 2019.
