Russia’s export of cars during January-March 2018 amounted to 15.7 thousand units, declining 15.1% year-on-year.
Truck export also decreased 13.8% down to 2.5 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export dropped 24.1% down to $219.5 mn, while truck export declined 33.1% down to $49.6 mn.
Car import, on the contrary, surged 49.7% up to 66.9 thousand units, according to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics.
Truck import decreased 4.2% down to 4.8 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import was up 24.9% up to $1.7 bn.
Truck import grew 1.9% up to $455.1 mn.
