During the 48th week, freight rates in the Baltic and in the North Europe region did not change compared to the previous week.
Rates for wheat shipments by Hansysize bulk carriers from ARAG to Eastern Mediterranean remained at $27 per ton, to the Eastern Mediterranean at $23 per ton.
According to the brokerage company Glogos Project, rates for shipment of scrap also remained unchanged. Rates for scrap shipment by 15,000 DWT vessels from the Baltic to North Europe stood at $26 per ton. On the Baltic – Eastern Mediterranean route the rates were $27 per ton.
Rates for scrap shipments from the Baltic to the Eastern Mediterranean by 25,000 DWT vessels were $28 per ton, to the Western Mediterranean — $25 per ton.
Rates for coal shipments by Handysize bulk carriers also remained at the level of week 47. On the Baltic – North Spain route, freight rates for 15,000 DWT vessels stood at $25 per ton, for 25,000 vessels DWT at $20 per ton.
Freight rates for all types of cargoes monitored by the Glogos Project by coasters remained unchanged.
