  • According to the results of 9 months of 2017, the loading of export cargoes through Russian ports to the Russian Railways increased by 5.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 215.9 million tons. According to the operative data of JSC Russian Railways, loading of export cargoes to the ports of the North-West amounted to 89.7 million tons (+ 8.3% to the level of 2016), to the ports of the South – 56.3 million tons (+7.6 %). Loading to the ports of the Far East amounted to 69.6 million tons, which is 2.1% more than in January-September 2016. In the structure of export freight traffic, about half of the total volume of loading – 48% – is coal. Oil accounts for 27%, for ferrous metals – 8%, for fertilizers – 7%, for grain cargo – 2%.

    As noted in the Railways, the increase in the export of goods was due to the growth of coal volumes by 10.6%, fertilizers by 10.4%, grain cargo by 46.7%, oil cargo by 0.1%, paper by 5.6% and coke on 62%.

    Passage of growing cargo traffic is ensured, including, due to the increase in the efficiency of transportation, noted in the press service of RZD.
