During the first half of 2025, 7.1 million tons of cargo was carried by the Volga-Baltic inland waterways, up 11.7% year-on-year.
According to the RF Federal Agency or Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot), construction cargo grew 10%, and metals surged 86%.
Since the start of the navigation season, more than 10,000 voyages was made in the Volga-Baltic inland basin compared to 9,637 during the same period last year.
