The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the ban on the entry of vehicles registered in the European Union, the Great Britain, Norway and the Ukraine into Russia until the sanctions imposed by the Western countries are lifted.
The embargo will be in force until the circumstances that prompted its imposition are eliminated, the RF Ministry of Transport said in a statement.
The ban was first introduced in 2022 as a response to the decision of the so-called unfriendly countries to forbid operations of Russia- and Belarus-registered trucks on their territory, which is a violation of the international treaties concluded with the Russian Federation.
