Russia’s Rosatom State Corporation and DP World are to establish a logistics operator to work in the Russian and international market, Rosatom said in its social media account.
The parties have signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in the global market aimed at improving the efficiency of international trade, first and foremost between the BRICS member countries and their partners and at developing seamless reliable global logistics chains.
The establishment of an international logistics operator to operate in the Russian and international markets is to serve these purposes.
Rosatom and DP World will assist logistics integration between the BRICS country members and their partners with an aim to expand global supply chains and improve their reliability, increase the global trade turnover and raise the global sustainable development awareness.
According to Rosatom, the agreement implementation will rely core infrastructure in Russia (including the Northern Sea Route), Eurasia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
This summer, Rosatom and DP World signed an agreement on mutual development of Eurasian transport logistics and container transportation using the Northern Sea Route in St. Petersburg.
