Road Map for Kamchatka LNG Terminal Approved

  • A road map for the Kamchatka LNG terminal project has been developed on commission rom Alexander Novak, Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Kamchatka Kray Governor Vladimir Solodov informed after meeting with Novak.

    The main topic for discussion during the meeting was the gasification of Kamchatka Kray, the regional government press office reports quoting Solodov.

    An agreement on cooperation in building an LNG terminal on the territory of Kamchatka was concluded between Novatek and the government of Kamchatka Kray in October 2017.

    LNG will be delivered to the terminal located in the Bechevnskaya Bay from Arctic fields by Arctic class tankers and transshipped via floating gas storage facilities or transferred ship to ship onto conventional gas carriers for delivery to APR markets.
