November 17, Zvezda Shipyard hosted the namegiving ceremony for a new generation LNG-powered Aframax tanker built for Sovcomflot.
The ship named “Vostochny Prospect” is the second in a series of Aframax tankers built at Zvezda for Sovcomflot with the financial support of VWB.RF Group. The first tanker in the series, the “Okeansky Prospect”, was delivered in December 2022.
The 250 m LOA, 44 m beam and 112,600 dwt vessel complies with the most stringent eco standards and has an ice notation of 1A/1B.
The vessel has been time chartered by Rosneft for 20 years.
