«Рускон» обновил парк техники на терминале Р-4 в Новороссийске

Ruscon Adding Equipment in Novorossiysk

  • The multimodal transport operator Ruscon, part of Delo Group, has added a new reachstacker to its R-4 terminal fleet in Novorossiysk.

The SANY reachstacker was delivered as part of the program aimed to increase the terminal capacity. Due to its weight of 100 tons and increased wheel radius, the new loader is capable to handle containers from the second railway track. This doubles the speed of container train handling and increases the efficiency of freight operations.

“We are consistently expanding the fleet of equipment at our own terminals, which allows us to successfully cope with the growing container turnover and increase the speed of cargo handling. The commissioning of a new reachstacker at the R-4 terminal will open up additional opportunities for our customers in Southern Russia,” said Sergey Beryozkin, Head of Ruscon.

The R-4 terminal in Novorossiysk has railway tracks for handling full trains and a container yard for 3,000 TEU. The terminal capacity is 30,000 TEU per year.

In 2023, two new 900 meter long access rails with a capacity of up to 50 wagons were commissioned at the R-4 terminal, and a 5 ton forklift truck capable of performing cargo operations inside containers was added to the fleet.
