Global Ports and FosAgro Group have signed a Memorandum of cooperation at TransRussia 2023 international transport and logistics exhibition held this week in Moscow.
According to the agreement, Global Ports’ First Container Terminal and Petrolesport in St. Petersburg are to increase handling volumes of mineral fertilizers produced at FoasAgro’s facilities in Vologda region starting January1, 2024.
The estimated freight traffic is to make no less than 3 mln tons annually. Export designated fertilizers will be loaded on board ships in specialized containers.
Global Ports started adapting the infrastructure and equipment of its marine terminals in St. Petersburg to handle non-containerized cargo in 2022 in an effort to compensate for the decline in container traffic in the Baltic.
In 2023, the Group plans to into operation additional equipment for bulk cargo and special purpose containers in the Big Port of St. Petersburg to handle non-containerized cargoes efficiently.
In 2022, Petrolesport handled 07 mln tons of mineral fertilizers made by FosAgro Group.
