Eurosub SPb Transport Systems and Khabarovsk-based Container Service transport and freight forwarding company plan to cooperate offering terminal services and road haulage.
The companies signed a cooperation agreement at the international TransRussia 2023 exhibition held this week in Moscow, Eurosib said in a statement.
The parties agreed to jointly use Container Service’s terminal to load containers onto rail and dispatch block trains. Eurosib intends to launch a weekly block train to Khabarovsk from Moscow and a fortnightly service to Khabarovsk from Novosibirsk.
Container Service’s terminal facilities allow of handling and storing reefer containers, so Eurosib plans to transport up to 50 reefer units laden with food products from Moscow, Novosibirsk and Central Russia. Last week, the company already accepted the first batch consisting of 12 reefer containers.
Container Service will provide door delivery by road from the railway stations of Khabarovsk 2 and Krasnaya Rechka using its own fleet.
