Грузооборот российского транспорта, январь 2023: перевозки выросли на 5,3%

Russian Transport Sector in January 2023 Up 5.3%

  • During January 2023, the cargo volume carried by all the transport modes in the RF transport system was up 5.3% year-on-year to 585.3 mn tons.

    According to the RF Statistics Agency, the largest volume was carried by road, up 10.4% year-on-year to 379.2 mn tons.

    Rail freight declined by 4.6% year-on-year down to 99.4 mn tons.

    Pipeline traffic was down 2% year-on-year to 102.2 mn tons. Gas pipeline transportation declined by 8.2% down to 49.7 mn tons. The volume of crude oil pipeline transportation increased by 3.9% to 47.9 mn tons and that of product pipeline transportation by 11.5% to 4.6 mn tons.

    Sea freight grew by 61.4% year-on-year up to 2.79 mn tons.

    Inland shipping volume declined by 17.2% year-on-year and amounted to 1.66 mn tons.

    Air transport carried 32 thousand tons, down 72.2% year-on-year.

    In January 2023, almost all modes of transport demonstrated negative month-on-month dynamics. The only exception was the pipeline segment that carried 0.7% more than December 2022.
